Ostomy supplies
I am currently using a 2-piece drainable pouching system with extended wear wafer or barrier. The pouches come 10 per box and the wafers 5 per box. Each runs around per box. It would be unfair for me to name the supplier , for I want you to make your own decisions. I have obtained free samples from these suppliers such as : Coloplast Dansec Hollister Convatec
I have received:
Pouches ( my choice of style and size)
Skin-Prep
Adhesives
Barriers (wafers)
Ostomy size templates
and more.

I am currently in the process of obtaining a "new" ostomy belt on the web. My have has spoken to the Supplier and creator's wife. She admits that he wears one everyday.. The belt has a velcro enclosure which CONTAINS the pouch and conceals " blowouts" and "barrier failure".
The pouch mounts sideways and claims to be as functional as standard mounts by letting it " just hang down" when emptying.
The size is adjusted for a "snug" fit for optimal support of barrier. I am hoping this will lead to a more discreet view of my particular protrusion, and that it will allow me to discard vests and sweaters and such to cover up.
I have read that when you have a colonsotomy , you do not have to change your wardrobe. As I work full time in view of 300 employees, I have found this to be untrue for myself.
After having 3 or 4 "accidents" and close calls, not to mention the shape of the barrier ring bulging through clothing, I am hopeful for this product.I'll keep you posted.
